More Christmas

I just love this santa stamp set, he is so versatile that I can do so many different things with him. He is paired with the around the world stamp set today and colored with copic markers. For his beard and fur on his coat and hat I used white flower soft and then glittered his paper with stampin up dazzling diamonds.

This card was made with Stampin Up's Lovely as a Tree stamp. I used versamark and snow white embossing powder. The snowmen are from the stamp set snow much fun and the background is Hero Arts snowflake background stamp.

And finally I used Snowday for this cute guy. Then a thinlit by stampin up for the Merry greeting.

I hope you enjoy all these cards :) Thanks for stopping by

Getting ready

We are gearing up for the Christmas season around my house. Lights are up, decorations are getting dug out from their hiding spots and best of all... my mom came over and we started making our cards. We only made one each, but hey its a start right?  I had a complete creative block once she got here and I just sat and stared at my papers, stamps and desk.  I finally decided on a simple snow, tree and snowman scene. I must say it turned out pretty cute.

This week I will focus on getting ready for Thanksgiving and enjoying the time with family. This is something that I never have enough of and I am really beginning to sit and re-focus on what I need to do at the house to make this happen.  Last week I got to have date night with my youngest and we went and painted pottery. I truly believe that we loose focus on the important things in life and to soon our littles are no longer little and will be leaving us to hang with friends, going to work and starting their own little families. All the more reason that I need to redirect my focus on family and make sacrifices where necessary.

Well off to cuddle with the kids and watch some football, maybe head down and try again at the cards. Night All

Santa is coming

Merry Christmas

I am so excited to announce that I have finally started on my Christmas cards. I will have to work fast if I ever want to get enough made and sent out by Christmas. One a day is not going to cut it :) Enjoy!!

Thankful

I have been so slack about making my cards and finally have gotten back down into my office to get started on my holiday cards. I used Many Thanks from Stampin' Up to do the wood background and wheat bundle. The bundle was done with copper embossing powder and popped up with dimensionals. I then used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set for the background on the green paper, and finished it off with chocolate bakers twine. I hope you enjoy this card

That time of year

Well it has started..... Fall is around the corner, football season is here. We were up today at 430 to get ready for practice. Yes you read that right, he had to be on the field at 530 today. YUCK!!!! Then there is my youngest who has joined Knowledge Bowl and has practice at 7 a.m. We may be starting a crazy crazy schedule, but we love every min of it. We are just waiting for bowling season to start to add one more activity to our life. :)

My husband has left for 6 weeks to start his medical discharge  from the military. I am not sure how I am feeling about this, as it is a hard thing for him to deal with right now. I pray every day that they will get it done quickly and he will find peace in our future.  One part of me is happy that he will not have to worry about deploying and will be able to stay home safe, but the other part of me feels so sad for him because he is feeing like he is losing out on so much. God does what he sees fit for us and this is the path that he is wanting our lives to go, so that is what I will accept.

I started decluttering the house this week and really want to get into my office so I can start crafting. I really need a professional organizer. I am missing my crafting and card making. I have baby, thank you and thinking of you cards to get done.
