Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge

For card I have used toilet paper for the background, (yep you read that right, toilet paper) bootiful stamp set from stampin up and applique for the fur on the boot and pop poms. I ran white cardstock through the bigshot with a snowflake embossing folder then colored it with gelato.

I was surfing different sites and found the idea for the toilet paper on there. I obviously have not mastered this technique but it was fun to make.

More Christmas

I just love this santa stamp set, he is so versatile that I can do so many different things with him. He is paired with the around the world stamp set today and colored with copic markers. For his beard and fur on his coat and hat I used white flower soft and then glittered his paper with stampin up dazzling diamonds.

This card was made with Stampin Up's Lovely as a Tree stamp. I used versamark and snow white embossing powder. The snowmen are from the stamp set snow much fun and the background is Hero Arts snowflake background stamp.

And finally I used Snowday for this cute guy. Then a thinlit by stampin up for the Merry greeting.

I hope you enjoy all these cards :) Thanks for stopping by

Getting ready

We are gearing up for the Christmas season around my house. Lights are up, decorations are getting dug out from their hiding spots and best of all... my mom came over and we started making our cards. We only made one each, but hey its a start right?  I had a complete creative block once she got here and I just sat and stared at my papers, stamps and desk.  I finally decided on a simple snow, tree and snowman scene. I must say it turned out pretty cute.

This week I will focus on getting ready for Thanksgiving and enjoying the time with family. This is something that I never have enough of and I am really beginning to sit and re-focus on what I need to do at the house to make this happen.  Last week I got to have date night with my youngest and we went and painted pottery. I truly believe that we loose focus on the important things in life and to soon our littles are no longer little and will be leaving us to hang with friends, going to work and starting their own little families. All the more reason that I need to redirect my focus on family and make sacrifices where necessary.

Well off to cuddle with the kids and watch some football, maybe head down and try again at the cards. Night All

Santa is coming

Merry Christmas

I am so excited to announce that I have finally started on my Christmas cards. I will have to work fast if I ever want to get enough made and sent out by Christmas. One a day is not going to cut it :) Enjoy!!

Thankful

I have been so slack about making my cards and finally have gotten back down into my office to get started on my holiday cards. I used Many Thanks from Stampin' Up to do the wood background and wheat bundle. The bundle was done with copper embossing powder and popped up with dimensionals. I then used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set for the background on the green paper, and finished it off with chocolate bakers twine. I hope you enjoy this card

That time of year

Well it has started..... Fall is around the corner, football season is here. We were up today at 430 to get ready for practice. Yes you read that right, he had to be on the field at 530 today. YUCK!!!! Then there is my youngest who has joined Knowledge Bowl and has practice at 7 a.m. We may be starting a crazy crazy schedule, but we love every min of it. We are just waiting for bowling season to start to add one more activity to our life. :)

My husband has left for 6 weeks to start his medical discharge  from the military. I am not sure how I am feeling about this, as it is a hard thing for him to deal with right now. I pray every day that they will get it done quickly and he will find peace in our future.  One part of me is happy that he will not have to worry about deploying and will be able to stay home safe, but the other part of me feels so sad for him because he is feeing like he is losing out on so much. God does what he sees fit for us and this is the path that he is wanting our lives to go, so that is what I will accept.

I started decluttering the house this week and really want to get into my office so I can start crafting. I really need a professional organizer. I am missing my crafting and card making. I have baby, thank you and thinking of you cards to get done.

A little humor in my day

This week has been box after box after box of freight  (over 90 in 3 days to be exact) at the store, getting ready for back to school and winter. We opened one box and found this skirt that we just had to take a break and have some fun with. What better way to unwind then to have the assistant manager put on the kids XL (14) skirt and to a little curtsey, then back to unpacking boxes we went.

Today while cleaning the store and refolding for the 1000th time we came across a little present from one of our little shoppers. She was tired of her sucker and didn't want the shirt so she stuck it all together and left us a "present" Another great job the assistant and our favorite associate.  The funniest part of the gift was.....

It was left on this shirt that says "I love candy" HAHAHAHA!!!! Yep funny stuff happens all the time at work, or maybe it really isn't that funny and we are just so tired of cleaning, unpacking, folding, hanging up clothes and messes that we have lost our sane minds and think this is the funny part of the day. We in all honesty love our jobs and most of the time our customers are great to work with, but like any job there is stress and we have to find the best in every situation.

On a totally different note, I was asked to join my Scentsy business in a networking group and I am so excited to be a part of this. I will meet once a month with other home based businesses and in turn we will be using the referral program. I am looking forward to getting my name out there even more and blessing peoples lives and helping moms stay at home and be moms.  I love meeting new people and this is one of the big reasons I joined Scentsy.

Well its off to bed for me, up early as football officially starts in the morning, first game for us. Good luck to my son. He loves what he does and we are so proud of him for being a dedicated student and athlete.

another good day.

I thought there was suppose to be a blue moon tonight, but when I went out to look at it, it was covered by the clouds so I could not see that it was blue.  The neighbor kid was just getting home from work so I asked him if it looked blue to him and of course he said not really. I was really kind of bummed, I was looking forward to seeing a blue moon. I will look again tomorrow night as I heard it was suppose to be tonight and tomorrow.

I was contacted by a networking group in my area that wants me to join them for monthly meetings, I think I am going to finally get my business going in the right direction which I am super excited about. I have been doing trainings online and praying that opportunities would come my way to help my family out. This just may be the answer I have been waiting for.

Tomorrow as I head out the door for work I am going to remember to grab any business materials that will help me on the spot, when anyone asks about Scentsy. I will have books, light bulbs (everyone always needs these) and my join/host brochures.  I have been told many times that I need to have these things in the car at all times, but I have never done it, so now is the best time to start and become 100% focused.

As I go to bed tonight I am sending tons of prayers to god, I am praying for friends in Montana that are threatened by the fire, I am praying for a friends father that had a heart attack this morning and for a friend, which I am not sure what is going on with her, but from the sounds of things today, whatever it is, is not good. Hug your family tonight and say a prayer for those suffering.

God bless you all.

Set me Free

I have been volunteered to participate in the Jail and Bail for March of Dimes by a co-worker. I love to help anyone I can and this sounds like it could be fun. I got the call at work telling me that I had a warrant for my arrest and about fell over because I knew I had done nothing wrong, then out comes the truth. I had a warrant for my arrest due to drinking to much lemon water and getting my co-worker hooked. HAHAHAHA I then about died of laughter. So I have to raise $1000 "bail" and turn myself in on Sept 12.  Now to get the word out and raise money for those babies. Off I go. http://jailandbail.marchofdimes.com/personal_page.asp?si=352ACD5C-F82A-4E97-AAEA-DD68458288AF is the link to help me raise money.

Blessing others

I went to the football practice tonight and met with some of the team moms and a few parents. I was a little disappointed that the other parents didn't know I was coming, but the moms that I did talk to were very appreciative of what I was doing to help them out. I am so happy that I can pay it forward to these boys. I am a little worried that they want to close it all out in only 10 days, but maybe under pressure works best for these boys :)
I have been trying to get some webinar training in tonight, but am finding it hard to focus and just want to be lazy, maybe tomorrow will be the time to do it and let my mind just relax tonight. I just know that all the training I am getting for myself is going to benefit my team and my business, which in turn benefits my family. I will be able to stay at home with my kids and be involved in all their activities.

On my way home, I glance at the beautiful sky and had to pull over to take a picture, it was so breath taking and amazing. God is so amazing in his creations.

With all that being sad I am going to go hang with my youngest while his siblings are out with friends. May be a good time for a board game.
Night all

Welcome Baby

I was so excited when my friend called and told me she was expecting. I knew I had to make her a cute card to go with the gift I was sending her. I was on the search for ideas and, viola! here it is .I wanted a stork and baby card, but didn't have a template for the pouch so my not so good drawing skills had to come into play :) I hope she likes as I had so much fun making this card.

Celebrate July 4

Any occasion

MIA and new experiments

I have been mia for a couple months and just getting back in the groove of card making. This house has been crazy with kids getting out of school and trying to keep them busy. My office is a total disaster and I could not even get in there to do any crafting. Every time I would find myself going down to organize I would feel so overwhelmed I would turn around and walk out.

I finally went down today and created a card, practicing using copic markers, this has proved to be quite interesting for sure, but I think I am getting the hang of it.  I also experimented with Flower soft today for a grassy look around the mushroom stem.

My boys are planning a fishing trip and thought this card fit them perfectly :) Glad I could make their day.

Thank you for stopping by today and hope you like the card

Snow day 2 projects

I have started my cloche hats for my mom's open house

Learning to color with Copic markers, I like this technique and want to get more colors

One more hat

Still snowing

Day 2 of being snowed in and it is not looking like I will be going anywhere anytime soon. What better thing to do than work on some projects that need to be completed. Teacher gifts, party invites and maybe even fit in some scrapbook pages for the kids' books.

The boys have been outside trying to build forts, but that was short lived as they said it is toooo cold out and their gloves are freezing. maybe some hot cocoa and then back out they will go.

Snow day!!

I am so trying to figure this blogging thing out and really should be working on my cloche hats for the party invites, but keep finding myself coming back to this. I just can not stop messing with it until it is just right.

The snow just keeps on falling and I am thinking I will be stuck at home tomorrow too, but is it really that bad? I may get some things done around here :)

Just a few projects

Noah's birthday invitation for our scavenger hunt at Cabella's

Our last year to make valentine boxes and we just had to make a tank for dad

What is Christmas without  class treats? Fun and simple project
And of course we can't forget our amazing teachers so we did the 12 days of giving with school supplies
